The SF-SC-UPC-OS2-0015M-D09-Y fiber pigtail is a short segment of optical fiber with an SC/UPC connector at one end and the other end open for fusion or mechanical splicing. Being OS2 (9/125 μm), it is designed for long distance applications in telecommunication networks, metropolitan links and high capacity transmission systems, offering low attenuation and excellent performance at high frequencies. Its most common use is in the termination of outside plant cables, in splice trays, optical distribution panels (ODF) and connections to network equipment, ensuring an orderly, efficient and reliable integration in single-mode fiber infrastructures.
